Wealthy French in London consider tax moves

Harriet Agnew explores how changes to non-dom rules for those living in Britain for more than 15 out of 20 years and plans to impose stricter taxation of foreign-owned property are causing concern for foreign residents in London. Blick Rothenberg’s Caroline Le Jeune says the new rules are a sign of "the inconsistency and continual change" of tax policy, which is making foreigners uncomfortable. French residents say they are considering a move after the next French election in 2017, says Ms Agnew, however, fears of an exodus may be overdone considering the opening of two new French schools last month in London.
